Welcome to the new ZHS Class of 1957 website. This site will be a bit smaller than the previous site, but we hope the info is just what you are looking for!
June 8, 2020 – Hi classmates: In case you have not heard, it is with great sadness to inform you that the annual get together set for July 11th has been cancelled. The church is not authorizing use of their facility at this time. Thank you for your understanding and look forward to the world settling down and we can plan an event for the coming year.

The class gathered at the Knights of Columbus Hall on July 27th to celebrate our 80th birthday, and what a nice turnout. There were 81 reservations, with 79 in attendance. I cannot say enough about the classmates of 1957. It was so nice to be able to come together for this celebration.
We appreciate the classmates who came from out of state to join us. Betsy Charles Sharp from Pennsylvania, Nancy Veyon Patterson from Virginia, who treated us with her delicious pecans, David Gale and Ron Wetherell from Florida, and Beverly Murphy Factor, who flew in from California. Thank you all from making the trip.
Tom and Carolyn Hall donated cupcakes in honor of the birthdays and we thank them very much as they were delicious. We added birthday picks with sayings about our “age” and gave a gift for one special cupcake and it went to Betsy Charles Sharp.
There was a birthday calendar game and the drawing went to Francis Holzschuher. Earl Sims actually was the winner as he got all of the names and dates correct. Good job, Earl.
We had entertainment from the ZHS Class of 1957 Happy Life Retirement Center and everyone seemed to enjoy it very much. I have a video on Facebook if you want to take a look.
Doris Jewett Flynn gave the benediction before dinner and we had an enjoyable evening, sharing stories with all our friends.
Here’s a little Thought: Keep Calm and Be Crazy – Love, Laugh and Live it up, because this is the oldest you’ve been and the youngest you will ever be again. This was a celebration of life.
Thanks to all who made this a very special evening.
Darryl Goff (classmate), Tammy Clark representing Homeless Hands of Zanesville, Joe Kennedy (classmate) and Amy Dunn representing All Shook Up Parkinson Group.
